Leon Indartsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Salvatore having to interfere. When Primitivo Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pepe Arena CF's protests and gave Primitivo Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Indartsu scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudio Salvatore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leon Indartsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Nataniel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Claudio Salvatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Nemesio Suero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Fernandes came free, but Wilfredo Rayman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Eduardo Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilfredo Rayman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pepe Arena CF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RIVER PLATE were winning 0-2.

In the 52nd minute, Primitivo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Claudio Salvatore managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when RIVER PLATE's Leon Indartsu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Primitivo Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rdth minute of the game Primitivo Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RIVER PLATE's Wilfredo Rayman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Primitivo Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Wilfredo Rayman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Primitivo Fernandes scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfredo Rayman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 80 minutes into the match, Pepe Arena CF's goalkeeper Claudio Salvatore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Indartsu. But to his dismay, Nemesio Suero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Claudio Salvatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Nataniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER PLATE's zone, Constantino Roland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfredo Rayman came out of the goal and Constantino Roland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
