Tiburcio Claus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Berbiz in the 14th minute of play. Tiburcio Claus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amajito Club de Sourdeaux's Godofredo Umea got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor Lluciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Nabar, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Augustus FC's zone, Matias Nabar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Lluciano came out of the goal and Matias Nabar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godofredo Umea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Lluciano having to interfere. If Godofredo Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amajito Club de Sourdeaux's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Celedonio Berbiz 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celedonio Berbiz was the one to do the kick off. After 56 played minutes Augustus FC got a freekick which was hit by Santos Urtzi. Matias Nabar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Godofredo Umea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Godofredo Umea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Augustus FC booed when Amajito Club de Sourdeaux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Nabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Augustus FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
