Gaudencio Gudesteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Arias having to interfere. Carmelo Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carmelo Mikelats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arsenio Urtzi hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Drink Team's Hernan Johans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Asteri in the 39th minute of play. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Drink Team's goalkeeper Hernan Johans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Su. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horacio Asteri to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ferro's Dante Batista got a free kick in the 56th minute. But to his dismay, Arnulfo Su quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Hernan Johans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Su, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Horacio Asteri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 68 minutes on the clock, Cecilio Asur commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.
