Jimmie Henriksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcial Ascencio went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Batea AFC's Jimmie Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Ascencio in the 38th minute of play. Anguilan's Evaristo Dolfos got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Batea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Dolfos came free, but Jimmie Henriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Evaristo Dolfos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anguilan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After the first half Anguilan were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Cruz to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Anguilan's Marcial Ascencio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. 56 minutes into the game, Marcial Ascencio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jimmie Henriksson. Marcial Ascencio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Marcial Ascencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgilio Cruz during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Batea AFC's Jimmie Henriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Batea AFC from getting a goal against them. Evaristo Dolfos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Henriksson having to interfere. In the 79th minute, one of Batea AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Batea AFC. In the 80th minute, Ildefonso Fernado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anguilan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. After a defensive mix-up in Batea AFC's zone, Evaristo Dolfos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmie Henriksson came out of the goal and Evaristo Dolfos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo Dolfos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimmie Henriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play.
