Uriel Enmanuel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Americo Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Americo Duarte stood somewhat misplaced when Uriel Enmanuel came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 6 minute. Uriel Enmanuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Americo Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 minutes, Clodoveo Harkaitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vikingos FC and the Carmen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Vikingos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Harkaitz to maneuver through the defense. Americo Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Vincente in the 13th minute of play. Eulalio Primo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Servando in the 16th minute of the match. Vikingos FC's Americo Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Vikingos FC from getting a goal against them. After 24 minutes, Gavino Handi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vikingos FC and the Carmen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 minutes of play, Carmen FC's Uriel Enmanuel made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Americo Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carmen FC's Uriel Enmanuel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Carmen FC's Uriel Enmanuel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Americo Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. During the 39th minute of the match Gavino Handi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gavino Handi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Carmen FC booed when Vikingos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Handi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Americo Duarte didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Vincente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After recieving a nice pass, Carmen FC's Jose Maidana tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Faustino Precioso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Uriel Enmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Dodorol had several of the Carmen FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-2 score and a disappointed Eulalio Primo as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Fabricio Hats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Oliveiro charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Oliveiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Victor Oliveiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Carmen FC got a corner. Vikingos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Maidana ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Carmen FC's Guido Odol to fire away a dangerous shot which Americo Duarte despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Americo Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Odol in the 92nd minute of the match. Zeledon Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vikingos FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
