Spectators: 7256 (Terracing: 5443, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zeledon Vincente kicked off to start the match. Fausto Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th match minute, Diamante FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Ibon to maneuver through the defense. Carmen FC's Jose Maidana couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Diamante FC. Fernan Jax came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Carmen FC's Zeledon Vincente. But to his dismay, Zeledon Vincente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 15 minutes, Alfonso Godoy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmen FC and the Diamante FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Diamante FC booed when Carmen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Carmen FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lino Mercurio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Uriel Enmanuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fernan Jax tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Zeledon Vincente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carmen FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Vincente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Zeledon Vincente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diamante FC's Fernan Jax was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Tanio in the 34th minute of play forced Carmen FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Primo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Carmen FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Primo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Mercurio. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Tanio to make the kick off. Uriel Enmanuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Uriel Enmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 68th minute of the match Alfonso Godoy completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alfonso Godoy a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Carmen FC's Alfonso Godoy got a free kick in the 69th minute. Zeledon Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Uriel Enmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carmen FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Primo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lino Mercurio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eulalio Primo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Tanio in the 81st minute of play. If Lino Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eulalio Primo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Diamante FC's Jairo Tanio. But to his dismay, Jairo Tanio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Diamante FC had won after a very even match.
