The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, Alberto Onbera notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bathurst's Artemio Harriet. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Dopping Positivo's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Palos came free, but Francisco Bibiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dopping Positivo's goalkeeper Francisco Bibiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Alberto Onbera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dopping Positivo's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Onbera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Harriet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jairo Ursino came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Dopping Positivo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Ursino couldn't finish the play. Alberto Onbera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Maura kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ricardo Palos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Bibiano having to interfere. Ricardo Palos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Francisco Bibiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Palos to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Ebardo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Bibiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Ursino got free with Artemio Harriet in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardo Palos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Francisco Bibiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Dopping Positivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Marko to maneuver through the defense. Federico Rameriz hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Jairo Ursino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 73rd playminute. When Dopping Positivo's Alberto Onbera in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Bathurst booed when Dopping Positivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Gomez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Clemente Lope led 92 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Dopping Positivo's Francisco Bibiano became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-2. If Ricardo Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dopping Positivo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
