But to his dismay, Artemio Birjaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Vellito in the 25th minute of play forced Club atlético Boca junior's goalkeeper Silvano Cresconio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Lalla hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Artemio Birjaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rosendo Gasteiz was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Silvano Cresconio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvano Cresconio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Santiago, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Rosendo Gasteiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Birjaio's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Ivan Benat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rosendo Gasteiz. The goal made the score 1-6. If Artemio Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 92 minutes into the match, Colelache's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Birjaio came free, but Rosendo Gasteiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
