Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5433, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ceferino Cidro started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Genaro Filipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute of the match Isidro Koldo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tobias Guillelmo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Newells old Boys's Enzo Gaztea got control of the ball when Victorino Pelayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14thth minute of the game Santiago Quirce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newells old Boys's Enzo Gaztea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victorino Pelayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Gaztea having to interfere. When Norberto Tono fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newells old Boys's protests and gave Norberto Tono a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Newells old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Tono. Boquita's Tobias Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Filipo in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Boquita's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Filipo came free, but Tobias Guillelmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victorino Pelayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Gaztea having to interfere. When Newells old Boys's Ceferino Cidro in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boquita's goalie prevented a goal. When Santiago Quirce came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Boquita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Quirce couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Quirce in the 37th minute of play forced Newells old Boys's goalkeeper Enzo Gaztea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Primo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Guillelmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Boquita's Tobias Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Cidro in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santiago Quirce made a kick off. With a little luck, Boquita's Tobias Guillelmo got control of the ball when Mario Primo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorino Pelayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Newells old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Tono to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Victorino Pelayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boquita's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Pelayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Gaztea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enzo Gaztea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victorino Pelayo went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Enzo Gaztea came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Boquita's Victorino Pelayo. But to his dismay, Victorino Pelayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 79th minute Ceferino Cidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Guillelmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prudencio Garci hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Boquita's zone, Ceferino Cidro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Guillelmo came out of the goal and Ceferino Cidro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enzo Gaztea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santiago Quirce went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
