Modesto Tristan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Cai in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Abreaccionados F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Cai came free, but Modesto Tristan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Cordarrel got free with Modesto Tristan in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 60 minutes, Paulino Cai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheby F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Cai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Paulino Cai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Cordarrel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Modesto Tristan came out and tried to block the shot, but Oscar Cordarrel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 65th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 69th minute, but Modesto Tristan got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Abreaccionados F.C. hanging dry this time. In the 73rd minute, Froilan Oinaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abreaccionados F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 76th minute, Casimiro Naelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Cordarrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Tristan having to interfere. Flavio Stanislao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Oinaz in the 95th minute of play. Modesto Tristan made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Oscar Cordarrel sent off a good shot on target. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
