A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. AZ Alkmaar were furious when Israel Silvanito was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 23 minutes into the game, one of AZ Alkmaar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luis Isias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Felipo in the 32nd minute of the match. AZ Alkmaar's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Patricio Lauaxeta 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. With his leg Godfredo Mendez managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Viclos's Guaberto Guillelme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47thth minute of the game Patricio Lauaxeta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AZ Alkmaar's Godfredo Mendez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador Elija stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Guaberto Guillelme came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Viclos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Guillelme couldn't finish the play. Godfredo Mendez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Lauaxeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Guillelme scored 4-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godfredo Mendez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in AZ Alkmaar's zone, Guaberto Guillelme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Mendez came out of the goal and Guaberto Guillelme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viclos made a substitution. Paulo Hotz replaced Guaberto Guillelme. Bartolo Lazcano took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godfredo Mendez. Godfredo Mendez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Godfredo Mendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Jaunzuria in the 88th minute of the match. Ciriaco Oinaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Hotz in the 95th minute of play forced AZ Alkmaar's goalkeeper Godfredo Mendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Oinaz struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Godfredo Mendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viclos. When the referee ended the match the Viclos players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
