Epifanio Benitez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Aimar in the 15th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Florencio Vimaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Cebo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florencio Vimaro in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Cebo saved la maquina from getting behind. Uriel Cebo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Romano in the 29th minute. Guillermo Romano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florencio Vimaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Uriel Cebo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. la maquina's Uriel Cebo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Vimaro in the 34th minute of play. When Florencio Vimaro came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Fail Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Vimaro couldn't finish the play. The supporters of la maquina booed when Fail Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Abechuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. When la maquina's Adrian Berriotxoa in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fail Team's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Adrian Berriotxoa sped through Fail Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Epifanio Benitez. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Guillermo Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Cebo having to interfere.
