Gabriel Txatxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Amato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Amaya in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hugo Ortle, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 10 minutes, Teodoro Urko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguay FC and the Basail players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabriel Txatxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Amato in the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Aguay FC's zone, Constantino Tab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Txatxu came out of the goal and Constantino Tab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Constantino Tab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Txatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguay FC's Gabriel Txatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Amato in the 20th minute of play. Hugo Ortle was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Emanuel Amaya capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emanuel Amaya really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Teodoro Urko hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Silvano Kauldi's late challenge caught a Basail's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Aldo Rozarius helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Basail booed when Aguay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Rozarius didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantino Tab in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Txatxu saved Aguay FC from getting behind. Gabriel Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Tab in the 36th minute of play. If Emanuel Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Lorenz during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Aguay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. When Celso Amato came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Basail fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Amato couldn't finish the play. Aguay FC's Juan Pello got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Celso Amato came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Basail fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Amato couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantino Tab was the one to do the kick off. If Juan Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute of the match Teodoro Urko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Ortle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Constantino Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Txatxu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Zacarias Loren. Juan Pello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Hugo Ortle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Basail's Baldomiro Pirmin got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Juan Pello came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Aguay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Pello couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the game, Emanuel Amaya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hugo Ortle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hugo Ortle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Amaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Constantino Tab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Txatxu having to interfere. Celso Amato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Juan Pello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Ortle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aguay FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Basail for a fine match.
