Andres Jaen took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Dalmau. Roman Dalmau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Wilfredo Venceslas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Iaki's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Zacarias Iaki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Venceslas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Iaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Zacarias Iaki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilfredo Venceslas having to make a save. The supporters of Progreso AFC booed when Banda del Bajo Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prudencio Heriberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Prudencio Heriberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progreso AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Heriberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Venceslas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zacarias Iaki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Wilfredo Venceslas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervasio Orlandus struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Wilfredo Venceslas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Progreso AFC. Progreso AFC's Zacarias Iaki got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Progreso AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Orlandus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 87th match minute, Banda del Bajo Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Naelio to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the game, Prudencio Heriberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Progreso AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Banda del Bajo Belgrano the free kick.
