Matias Ferrando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo Acuña. Club Atletico Huracan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Club Atletico Huracan's Gregorio Bilintx got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Gregorio Bilintx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filomeno Herena during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Huracan's zone, Ramiro Cordeal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Acuña came out of the goal and Ramiro Cordeal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gregorio Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Inautzi having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregorio Bilintx made a kick off. Apolo Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Bartolo Transito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suplentes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Transito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Club Atletico Huracan's Alfredo Acuña got control of the ball when Bartolo Transito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredo Acuña made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Bartolo Transito sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th match minute, Club Atletico Huracan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Jerano to maneuver through the defense. Guaberto Calvet was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 69 minutes, Tiburcio Moise mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Huracan and the Suplentes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Club Atletico Huracan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Moise to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Acuña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Acuña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolo Transito in the 86th minute. Bartolo Transito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 94th minute, Ramiro Cordeal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfredo Acuña, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Transito got free with Alfredo Acuña in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Suplentes played a much better game than Club Atletico Huracan and deserved their victory. The Club Atletico Huracan players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
