An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Rios in the 3rd minute of play forced Retomados FC's goalkeeper Matias Soter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Malvin got free with Matias Soter in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesar Ignatius during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rastrojos booed when Retomados FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Retomados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Bernardo Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Soter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Soter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Malvin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Matias Soter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Rastrojos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Serafino Colon hit a great ball. Matias Soter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Rios in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rastrojos's Celestino Laurgain got a free kick in the 28th minute. Matias Soter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Malvin in the 32nd minute. Rastrojos's Mariano Malvin got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 played minutes Retomados FC got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Oinatz. When Bernardo Rios came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Rastrojos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Rios couldn't finish the play. Matias Soter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Rios in the 41st minute of the match. Ulises Hunfredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Jaunti went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Bernardo Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Retomados FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Rios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Mariano Malvin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rastrojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Malvin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fulgencio Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Hunfredo having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Teodosio Furman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fulgencio Jaunti during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fulgencio Jaunti kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Rios in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matias Soter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82ndth minute of the game Mariano Malvin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Retomados FC's Matias Soter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Retomados FC's Matias Soter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Rios in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Bernardo Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Soter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Jaunti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Retomados FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
