Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 2 minutes, Filomeno Herena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suplentes and the Deportivo Merlo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Suplentes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Herena to maneuver through the defense. Eriberto Beltran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Amancio Inautzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amancio Inautzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Beat in the 6th minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Eriberto Beltran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suplentes's Amancio Inautzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Suplentes's Ramiro Cordeal in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Merlo's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Suplentes's Bartolo Transito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafael Ponce. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Ramiro Cordeal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiro Cordeal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Ponce having to interfere. Bartolo Transito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eriberto Beltran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 26 played minutes Suplentes got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Videl. If Ramiro Cordeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolo Transito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rafael Ponce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Suplentes's Ramiro Cordeal in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Merlo's goalie prevented a goal. Rafael Ponce came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Suplentes's Ramiro Cordeal. But to his dismay, Ramiro Cordeal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 45th minute, Ramiro Cordeal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rafael Ponce, passed just outside the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Cordeal was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramiro Cordeal in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Ponce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Deportivo Merlo getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gaspar Tolino hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes, Suplentes's Guaberto Calvet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rafael Ponce came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Suplentes reached it. In the 60th minute, Bartolo Transito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Ponce was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Suplentes's Bartolo Transito got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ramiro Cordeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Ramiro Cordeal notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Deportivo Merlo's Rafael Ponce. Rafael Ponce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafael Ponce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Transito in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Suplentes's Amancio Inautzi got control of the ball when Gaspar Tolino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Suplentes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Sayveon to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Arotza shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 95 minutes into the match, Deportivo Merlo's Teobaldo Beat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amancio Inautzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ramiro Cordeal took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Ponce. Rafael Ponce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Suplentes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
