In the 19th minute Encrucijada were awarded a corner. Uriel Argenis went to the cornerflag to take it. Encrucijada's Romeo Bartoleme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Encrucijada from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes, Saverio Maju mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Encrucijada and the Sporting Tucson players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Encrucijada got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Jon. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the match, Encrucijada's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Oliverio came free, but Romeo Bartoleme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Uzuri in the 60th minute of play forced Encrucijada's goalkeeper Romeo Bartoleme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sporting Tucson's Gervasio Raulo tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Encrucijada got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Hori. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Gervasio Raulo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Tucson's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Raulo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Bartoleme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting Tucson had played much better football throughout.
