In the 42nd minute, Constantino Benitez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Almagro's Jorge Gonzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Jerico in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Almagro getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Raimundo Valery hit a great ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Jacobo Fidele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Fidele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Constantino Benitez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Benitez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Gonzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 63 minutes, Jacobo Fidele made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side.
