Azucena's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Octavio Aureo in the 37th minute. The corner ended in Octavio Aureo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atletico Talleres's Jeronimo Rami did a great save. During the 39th minute of the match Lorenzo Gaizkine completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lorenzo Gaizkine a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Club Atletico Talleres getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Lisandro Rozarius hit a great ball. With his leg Jeronimo Rami managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Azucena's Elvio Perez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

When Fermin Estebano came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Club Atletico Talleres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Estebano couldn't finish the play. Evelio Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Club Atletico Talleres had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
