The referee ignored Alvariño AFC's protests and gave Jorge Buinton a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Alvariño AFC's Jorge Buinton got a free kick in the 39th minute. Nemesio Pirmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ★MERLUZA★'s zone, Oscar Ciceron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Erramu came out of the goal and Oscar Ciceron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teofilo Obano to strike the kick off in the second half. Teofilo Obano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ambrosio Nabar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Erramu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Ciceron in the 56th minute of the match. Aquiles Pirro ran back to his position shaking his head. Oscar Ciceron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javier Erramu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Aquiles Pirro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Erramu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by ★MERLUZA★'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eustacio Tello was slow to take the kick. During this time Alvariño AFC's players had a chance to rest. Hilario Karmel made a great header on Alvariño AFC's corner, it was just that ★MERLUZA★'s Javier Erramu managed to reach the ball for a save.
