Eleuterio Ur hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Enrique Hodei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Melquiades Raphael in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Gilberto Ederono who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GonzalexFC's Antonio Ekialde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Melquiades Raphael cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Anibal Quinito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 played minutes GonzalexFC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Rami. If Enrique Hodei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pachurro's Silvestre Cordarrol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Ekialde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Melquiades Raphael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Anibal Quinito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Sabino's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pachurro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felipe Sabino helped the player get up and apologised. Anibal Quinito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Hodei in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Hodei in the 41st minute of play forced Deportivo Pachurro's goalkeeper Anibal Quinito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gilberto Ederono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GonzalexFC's Enrique Hodei got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Gilberto Ederono struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Antonio Ekialde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Pachurro. Silvestre Cordarrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the GonzalexFC defense, Gilberto Ederono kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Ekialde. The GonzalexFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Ekialde should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pachurro's zone, Enrique Hodei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Quinito came out of the goal and Enrique Hodei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Melquiades Raphael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Clodoveo Tercero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, GonzalexFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Cordarrol came free, but Antonio Ekialde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GonzalexFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
