The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Tacupampa FC booed when Duendes Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Sebastian Olayo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Quinton skillfully saved the ball. When Fidel Frasco fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tacupampa FC's protests and gave Fidel Frasco a yellow card for diving instead. Tacupampa FC's Clemente Brais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Rutenio in the 60th minute of play. Clemente Brais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Maximiliano Berbiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duendes Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Gustavo Criston struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Cornelio Quinton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tacupampa FC. The long shot by Sebastian Olayo in the 75th minute really tested Cornelio Quinton's skills.
