Honorato Lawrence helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Chañar booed when Boca JRS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Lawrence didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chañar's Eliseo Macario suffered a sprained foot after 9 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Modestio during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leonel Modestio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. If Guido Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Ceferino Mannie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Lluques got free with Bartolo Orzaize in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 28 minutes of play, Boca JRS's Isaac Ezkerra made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cirilo Ospin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Epifanio Fliz's late challenge caught a Chañar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 33rd match minute, Chañar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Abadie to maneuver through the defense. Chañar's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Abadie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartolo Orzaize breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guido Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Orzaize having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Miguel Chano made the kick off in the second half. Isaac Ezkerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cirilo Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Isaac Ezkerra came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Boca JRS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Ezkerra couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Boca JRS booed when Chañar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Tomi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Miguel Chano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 76 minutes of play Boca JRS's Honorato Lawrence was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Honorato Lawrence hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Boca JRS's zone, Guido Lluques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bartolo Orzaize came out of the goal and Guido Lluques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cirilo Ospin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Modestio in the 85th minute. Guido Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guido Lluques in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bartolo Orzaize prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabio Abadie kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chañar's zone, Leonel Modestio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Ospin came out of the goal and Leonel Modestio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Boca JRS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
