The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedicto Arano during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Deportivo Martin Palermo getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Benedicto Arano hit a great ball. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind BULL DOG's goalkeeper Elpidio Nerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BULL DOG's Elpidio Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Guzman in the 10th minute of play. Saverio Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elpidio Nerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Ciriaco Felo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Senio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Ciriaco Felo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BULL DOG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Felo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ceferino Betadur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elpidio Nerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lorenzo Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes BULL DOG got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Ciano. 46 minutes into the match, Deportivo Martin Palermo's Ceferino Betadur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elpidio Nerio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Saverio Guzman made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Saverio Guzman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 57 minutes, Gregorio Chepe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BULL DOG and the Deportivo Martin Palermo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 57 played minutes BULL DOG got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Chepe. In the 58th minute, BULL DOG's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ceferino Betadur fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Saverio Guzman succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. In the 70th minute, Ciriaco Felo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BULL DOG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Ciriaco Felo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st play minute Ceferino Betadur came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elpidio Nerio. 1-4. In the 85th minute Lorenzo Lizbeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Senio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ceferino Betadur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Lizbeth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Senio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
