Cornelio Quinton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Robustiano Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolo Orzaize didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Rutenio went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Maximino Rami charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Rami the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Duendes Club got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Rami. Maximiliano Berbiz kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Robustiano Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Rutenio took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartolo Orzaize. Bartolo Orzaize dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Duendes Club's Aureliano Loren got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Chano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Demario got free with Bartolo Orzaize in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th match minute, Duendes Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Vistruario to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Miguel Chano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Quinton was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Bartolo Orzaize made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Robustiano Demario sent off a good shot on target. Bartolo Orzaize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Rami in the 76th minute of the match. 1-5 became the score in the 77th minute when Leopoldo Rutenio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Maximino Rami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes, Duendes Club's Domingos Fortun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bartolo Orzaize came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Duendes Club reached it. The Boca JRS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Duendes Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Duendes Club.
