Jacobo Iraunkor's late challenge caught a VORTEX's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Iraunkor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute, one of Carnerito AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carnerito AFC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Ubelteso in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Guipuzkoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roque Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The attack was good, but when Armando Goiz in the 15th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 18th minute Angel Ubelteso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Guipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carnerito AFC's Jacobo Iraunkor suffered a concussion in the 22nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 22 minutes, Armando Goiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VORTEX and the Carnerito AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Armando Goiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Rubio made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Armando Goiz sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, VORTEX's Amancio Rubio threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oscar Luken, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Armando Goiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Amancio Rubio made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Gamus to make the kick off. Elpidio Gaspard hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Ubelteso got free with Marcelo Guipuzkoa in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armando Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Carnerito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Goiz came free, but Amancio Rubio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes Carnerito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adan Hever. If Angel Ubelteso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaias Eutor might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Guipuzkoa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaias Eutor ran back to his position shaking his head. Amancio Rubio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeo Gamus went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Amancio Rubio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Gamus, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
