Spectators: 7236 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) atlas's Nicolas Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Froila in the 3rd minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Adrian Banegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. atlas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cumbancha Volante the free kick. In the 8th minute, one of atlas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for atlas. Fidel Ignazio placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Freddy Abeita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nicolas Kiliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Freddy Abeita notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of atlas's Nicolas Kiliz. Nicolas Kiliz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the match, La Cumbancha Volante's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Bermudo came free, but Leandro Txurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Constantino Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Txurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Kiliz stood somewhat misplaced when Adolfo Larra came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 25 minute. With a little luck, atlas's Nicolas Kiliz got control of the ball when Adolfo Larra tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Adolfo Larra made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Adolfo Larra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolas Kiliz was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. If Adolfo Larra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Ruperto Lehoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cumbancha Volante's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Lehoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Kiliz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 played minutes atlas got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Katia. Nicolas Kiliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Abeita, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Freddy Abeita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Adolfo Larra notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of atlas's Nicolas Kiliz. Nicolas Kiliz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 85 minutes of play, La Cumbancha Volante's Freddy Abeita made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Kiliz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicolas Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Abeita in the 88th minute of play. There was no doubt that La Cumbancha Volante were the better team. La Cumbancha Volante's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
