After 38 minutes, Constantino Bermudo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the atlas and the Las Estrellas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ignacio Raymond to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Ignacio Raymond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Las Estrellas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Raymond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantino Bermudo in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Laffitte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Paulo Xabat came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the atlas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Xabat couldn't finish the play. Paulo Xabat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolas Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Raymond in the 67th minute of play. After 69 minutes, Mario Resto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Las Estrellas and the atlas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mario Resto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Las Estrellas's zone, Paulo Xabat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Laffitte came out of the goal and Paulo Xabat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Ignacio Raymond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Ignacio Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantino Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
