Raimundo Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Zeven FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Manny came free, but Raimundo Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Amor kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Zeven FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Nikola came free, but Raimundo Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Nalo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the game, RIVER's Santo Manny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Nalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Santo Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Nalo having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santo Manny to make the kick off. With a little luck, Zeven FC's Raimundo Nalo got control of the ball when Jonas Nikola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nestor Amor hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Jonas Nikola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Nikola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 59 played minutes Zeven FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Sanchez. After a defensive mix-up in Zeven FC's zone, Jonas Nikola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Nalo came out of the goal and Jonas Nikola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of RIVER booed when Zeven FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Manny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. RIVER's Jonas Nikola got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 minutes, Pablo Bernabel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIVER and the Zeven FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, RIVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Bernabel to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Lázaro Kaiet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Mingo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. RIVER's Jonas Nikola got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeven FC's Raimundo Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santo Manny in the 82nd minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Fabian Chorache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RIVER's Eduardo Mingo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Kaiet in the 92nd minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Eduardo Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Jacob's late challenge caught a Zeven FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Jacob helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Jacob hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
