With an all-out effort, Beltran Stars F.C.'s Tadeo Sedeni threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Pietro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Beltran Stars F.C.'s Ivan Oinaz got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Sorocayense's Rogelio Viator in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Beltran Stars F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Sorocayense. Nemesio Napier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hector Koldo. 0-2. Hector Koldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Oso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rogelio Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes, Marcelo Cordearo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorocayense and the Beltran Stars F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Sorocayense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Cordearo to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogelio Viator made a kick off. Luisito Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Tadeo Sedeni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rogelio Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Martxelin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogelio Viator could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Hector Koldo made a huge save. After 66 minutes, Luisito Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beltran Stars F.C. and the Sorocayense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivan Oinaz's late challenge caught a Sorocayense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Oinaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Beltran Stars F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Oinaz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sorocayense getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Mauro Oso hit a great ball. A hard shot by Siro Larra from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Hector Koldo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hector Koldo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcelo Cordearo. Luisito Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Tadeo Sedeni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Beltran Stars F.C. booed when Sorocayense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Larra didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luisito Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Viator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Koldo having to interfere. The Beltran Stars F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sorocayense were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
