After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Luisito Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beltran Stars F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Abaunza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luisito Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Abaunza having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Beltran Stars F.C.'s Rafael Pietro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Abaunza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Luisito Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Beltran Stars F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Cruz couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Beltran Stars F.C.'s Rafael Pietro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rosendo Abaunza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Luisito Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beltran Stars F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisito Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Koldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guaberto Ihintza's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Hector Koldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Serapio in the 79th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guaberto Ihintza in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Koldo saved Beltran Stars F.C. from getting behind. A collision led to Macho de la esquina getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Vinicio Serapio hit a great ball. Rafael Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosendo Abaunza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Pietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisito Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Beltran Stars F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Beltran Stars F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
