Spectators: 7211 (Terracing: 5409, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vinicio Serapio kicked off to start the match. Felix Ekaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Abaunza having to interfere. Angel Dino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Serapio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Abaunza made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Fulgencio Bertran sent off a good shot on target. Macho de la esquina's Rosendo Abaunza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Ekaitz in the 17th minute of play. When Felix Ekaitz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Hipopó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Ekaitz couldn't finish the play. After 22 minutes, Guaberto Ihintza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macho de la esquina and the Hipopó players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Macho de la esquina getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Guaberto Ihintza hit a great ball. Fulgencio Bertran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Rosendo Abaunza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 minutes of play, Macho de la esquina's Vinicio Serapio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angel Dino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bartolo Remigio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angel Dino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Guaberto Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Dino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hipopó's goalkeeper Angel Dino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guaberto Ihintza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Dino having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Ekaitz was the one to do the kick off. Guaberto Ihintza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angel Dino having to make a save. Macho de la esquina's Guaberto Ihintza got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Guaberto Ihintza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Angel Dino, passed just outside the right post. In the 69th match minute, Hipopó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atilano Egoitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Vinicio Serapio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Atilano Egoitz fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hipopó's protests and gave Atilano Egoitz a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Hipopó:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Macho de la esquina:s goal. Angel Dino came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Macho de la esquina's Guaberto Ihintza. But to his dismay, Guaberto Ihintza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Felix Ekaitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hipopó's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Ekaitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Abaunza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Ihintza got free with Angel Dino in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinicio Serapio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Ihintza got free with Angel Dino in the 100th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Macho de la esquina supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Macho de la esquina would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
