Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Angelo Quintan started the match with the kick off. Angelo Quintan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerardo Toro having to make a save. 8 minutes into the game, Benito Benat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gerardo Toro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gerardo Toro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Quintan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Angelo Quintan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Aimar in the 17th minute of play forced Tolhuin's goalkeeper Alfredo Ramone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Toro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Quintan in the 18th minute of play. When Benito Benat fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tolhuin's protests and gave Benito Benat a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Quintan in the 26th minute of play forced Chañares's goalkeeper Gerardo Toro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Benat did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Gerardo Toro 29 minutes into the match. Damaso Oton struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Alfredo Ramone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chañares. Damaso Oton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Ramone having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Benat got free with Gerardo Toro in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 minutes, Luis Gonzalez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chañares and the Tolhuin players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damaso Oton to make the kick off. Tolhuin's Angelo Quintan got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chañares's Jeremias Milio got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gerardo Toro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Quintan in the 60th minute of play. Damaso Oton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alfredo Ramone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Benito Benat sped through Chañares's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gerardo Toro. A hard shot 68 in the game by Geronimo Aimar from a close distance when the talented Alfredo Ramone managed to make a qualified save. Tolhuin's players were relieved. Angelo Quintan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerardo Toro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Quintan in the 71st minute of the match. Benito Benat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gerardo Toro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
