A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Sporting Club getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Teodoro Rojelio hit a great ball. Gerardo Toro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Toro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Teyo in the 26th minute of play. 2-0 became the score in the 30th minute when Damaso Oton elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Emiliano Fanuco kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Sporting Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Teyo to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Club's Evaristo Teyo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ambrosio Mark's late challenge caught a Sporting Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Teyo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 96 minutes into the match, Eduardo Rosio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerardo Toro. Chañares's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Rosio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
