But to his dismay, Flavio Eusko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Evaristo Teyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Castel having to interfere. Haroldo Cerilo's late challenge caught a Sporting Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Cerilo helped the player get up and apologised. Haroldo Cerilo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Eduardo Rosio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 23rd playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Teyo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Castel saved Miraflores from getting behind. Filomeno Gaur who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Leonardo Castel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Miraflores's goalkeeper Leonardo Castel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Rosio. Celso Gomez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Hegoi having to make a save. Celso Gomez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Juan Hegoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Eusko kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavio Eusko to strike the kick off in the second half. Uriel Garikoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Evaristo Teyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Celso Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miraflores's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Gomez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Hegoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Flavio Eusko fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Juan Hegoi, passed just outside the right post. Miraflores's Leonardo Castel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Rosio in the 67th minute of play. With a little luck, Sporting Club's Juan Hegoi got control of the ball when Ramon Benvide tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flavio Eusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Hegoi having to interfere. When Celso Gomez came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Miraflores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Gomez couldn't finish the play. After having played for 81 minutes, Flavio Eusko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miraflores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Eusko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Evaristo Teyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Miraflores left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Club.
