After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

During the 54th minute of the match Victorio Frans completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Victorio Frans a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Victorio Frans hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Rosio got free with Amado Cordaryal in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Eduardo Rosio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 95 minutes into the match, Evaristo Teyo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Honguito FC's Amado Cordaryal. Amado Cordaryal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
