Spectators: 7086 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Damaso Oton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lázaro Hotz in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerardo Toro saved Chañares from getting behind. When Artemio Odilon fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Artime FC's protests and gave Artemio Odilon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Artime FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Artemio Odilon hit a great ball. Geronimo Venceslas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Guillen. Artime FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 8 minutes of play Artime FC's Artemio Odilon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 9 played minutes Artime FC got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Odilon. In the 13th minute, Leopoldo Reynardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Artime FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Leopoldo Reynardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Artime FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Reynardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerardo Toro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Chañares. Geronimo Venceslas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Guillen. 1-1. Chañares's Gerardo Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Chorache in the 26th minute of play. Damaso Oton struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Alberto Guillen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chañares. When Damaso Oton came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Chañares fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Oton couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Artime FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Oton came free, but Alberto Guillen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chañares's Ambrosio Mark got a free kick in the 44th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Reynardo in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gerardo Toro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 48th minute, Leopoldo Reynardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerardo Toro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chañares's goalkeeper Gerardo Toro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Artime FC defense, Geronimo Aimar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Guillen. The Artime FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Guillen should have stopped the shot. In the 68th minute, Damaso Oton made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Guillen. Artime FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After having played for 72 minutes, Ivan Chorache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Artime FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Chorache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 played minutes Artime FC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Reynardo. The audience was convinced that Geronimo Aimar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Guillen was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Chañares's zone, Leopoldo Reynardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Toro came out of the goal and Leopoldo Reynardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerardo Toro made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Leopoldo Reynardo sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the match, Artime FC's Leopoldo Reynardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerardo Toro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geronimo Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes, Ivan Chorache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Artime FC and the Chañares players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Artime FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Chorache to maneuver through the defense. Chañares's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
