After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of FC Leverkusen booed when Amuschina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Xabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ceferino Galtero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Florin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Noe's late challenge caught a FC Leverkusen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
