Spectators: 7219 (Terracing: 5449, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evaristo Teyo started the match with the kick off. Angelo Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Hegoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Benat, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute, Teodoro Rojelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Quintan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benito Benat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tolhuin booed when Sporting Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Rojelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixto Burutzagi's late challenge caught a Sporting Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixto Burutzagi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tolhuin's Sixto Burutzagi got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Benito Benat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tolhuin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Benat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Benat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Hegoi having to interfere. Juan Hegoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Benat in the 36th minute of the match. After 36 minutes of play, Tolhuin's Benito Benat made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Hegoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Benito Benat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tolhuin's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Benat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Hegoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Angelo Quintan made the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Ramone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Teyo in the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Nicasio Tino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tolhuin the free kick. The supporters of Tolhuin booed when Sporting Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Tino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tolhuin's Benito Benat got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelo Quintan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Hegoi having to interfere. If Angelo Quintan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Quintan struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Juan Hegoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tolhuin. Eduardo Rosio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Alfredo Ramone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Evaristo Teyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Teyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Ramone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Quintan in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Hegoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tolhuin's Alfredo Ramone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Teyo in the 97th minute of play. Tolhuin played a much better game than Sporting Club and deserved their victory. The Sporting Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
