An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Christobal in the 8th minute of play forced La Patada Cubana's goalkeeper Ciriaco Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Pius Kottmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bigines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pius Kottmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Romulo Nikola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Ayala. Bigines's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romulo Nikola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of La Patada Cubana booed when Bigines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Porfirio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomiro Berdoi scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciriaco Dei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnaldo Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Bertran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanos Karalexis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Dei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Bigines's Pius Kottmann made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciriaco Dei was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Bigines's Flavio Porfirio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Thanos Karalexis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciriaco Dei skillfully saved the ball. The La Patada Cubana players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bigines were winning 1-3.

After 52 played minutes La Patada Cubana got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Buinton. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Patada Cubana's goalkeeper Ciriaco Dei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnaldo Ayala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Bertran, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. A collision led to Bigines getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alejandro Guter hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Pius Kottmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Dei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pius Kottmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Luke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pius Kottmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th match minute, Bigines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Berdoi to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bigines getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Baldomiro Berdoi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Patada Cubana's zone, Flavio Porfirio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Dei came out of the goal and Flavio Porfirio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomiro Berdoi charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomiro Berdoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 94 minutes into the game, Flavio Porfirio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bigines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Patada Cubana the free kick. 93 minutes into the game, one of Bigines:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for La Patada Cubana. Blas Cefero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnaldo Ayala. 2-3.
