Rigoberto Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Ireno in the 8th minute of the match. When Anselmo Txerran fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Python's protests and gave Anselmo Txerran a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Python got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Txerran. Danilo Valiente struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Elvio Florin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes LP. Rigoberto Rioja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Abella in the 13th minute. Rigoberto Rioja was a little too slow when Reynaldo Abella got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Python getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Hermengildo Ireno hit a great ball. Rigoberto Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Ireno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes LP's Alonzo Illart got a free kick in the 28th minute. Elvio Florin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Veto, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Estudiantes LP's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Albano Fidencio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rigoberto Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Ireno in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Reynaldo Abella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Python's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Abella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gualterio Stephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rigoberto Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Frisco's late challenge caught a Python's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Frisco helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albano Fidencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Reynaldo Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes LP's zone, Osvaldo Karlo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Rioja came out of the goal and Osvaldo Karlo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 played minutes Estudiantes LP got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Frisco. Rigoberto Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Abella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Ireno notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Estudiantes LP's Rigoberto Rioja. Rigoberto Rioja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Python fully deserved thier win.
