Elias Bertran hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Nemesio Elizardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S.y D.Pinamar's supporters rose to their feet, but Nemesio Elizardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Dei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nemesio Elizardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciriaco Dei came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by C.S.y D.Pinamar's Nemesio Elizardo. But to his dismay, Nemesio Elizardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in La Patada Cubana's zone, Anacleto Merexildo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Dei came out of the goal and Anacleto Merexildo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nemesio Elizardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 53rd minute of the match Teo Txurio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciriaco Dei skillfully saved the ball. Marcos Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Nikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nemesio Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Anacleto Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anacleto Merexildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Dei having to interfere. Romulo Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Nascimento having to interfere. Nemesio Elizardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Dei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.S.y D.Pinamar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! The referee gave La Patada Cubana a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Blas Cefero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of C.S.y D.Pinamar's Marcos Nascimento. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Elizardo in the 89th minute of play forced La Patada Cubana's goalkeeper Ciriaco Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.S.y D.Pinamar's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
