The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Rocio got free with Anier Estebano in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Rocio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Anier Estebano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Abel kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Daniel Rocio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merlongas's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Rocio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anier Estebano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Rocio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Merlongas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeo Mano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Amadeo Mano's late challenge caught a Merlongas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Mano helped the player get up and apologised. Fabio Maria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Abel's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Anier Estebano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Uhin in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Daniel Rocio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Merlongas getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Damian Laurendi hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Felix Uhin made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Rocio in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anier Estebano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Lobos's Raimundo Abel got a free kick in the 59th minute. Daniel Rocio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Rocio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Estebano having to interfere. Raimundo Abel struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Fabio Maria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobos. Felix Uhin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Anier Estebano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merlongas's goalkeeper Fabio Maria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Lobos's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Rocio came free, but Anier Estebano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes of play, Lobos's Raimundo Abel made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Maria was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lobos were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Merlongas's much stronger midfield.
