But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uriel Lucila couldn't finish the play. Bernabe Herrera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Abel Eleazar made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basilio Gartzi got free with Abel Eleazar in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Eleazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Caton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uriel Lucila struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Jaime Bordat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hernández AFC. In the 23rd minute, Cristo Oihenarte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaime Bordat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 31st minute Moises Escobar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Eleazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcelo Perpinya fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hernández AFC's protests and gave Marcelo Perpinya a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Hernández AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Perpinya. The long shot by Lucio Endira in the 39th minute really tested Abel Eleazar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 40th minute, Uriel Lucila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Despite being the better team, Hernández AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
