Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Noqueoj FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Lauro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomero Garikoitz. When Raimundo Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Caute FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Pedroso couldn't finish the play. Raimundo Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Lauro having to interfere. Baldomero Garikoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gilberto Lauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Totakoxe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ceferino Ulizes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Amador Inge charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amador Inge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 41 minutes into the game, one of Noqueoj FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Baldomero Garikoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Noqueoj FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Simon Bibiano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Noqueoj FC's zone, Raimundo Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Lauro came out of the goal and Raimundo Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute of the match Mauricio Rami sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Lauro skillfully saved the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Caute FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Pacho came free, but Ceferino Ulizes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauricio Rami hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Rafael Jerrold charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Jerrold the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 72 minutes into the match, Noqueoj FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Pedroso came free, but Gilberto Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Garikoitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Lauro having to make a save. Gilberto Lauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
