Lion FC were furious when Narciso Karlo was red carded, 7 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 7 minutes into the game, one of Lion FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pascual Etxatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Barrionuevo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Etxatxu in the 16th minute of play forced Anguinán's goalkeeper Melquiades Barrionuevo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Etxatxu scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Barrionuevo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pascual Etxatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Barrionuevo having to interfere. Melquiades Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Etxatxu in the 33rd minute of play. Anguinán's Melquiades Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Maurino in the 34th minute of play. Pascual Etxatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Barrionuevo having to interfere. When Hermengildo Fertus fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anguinán's protests and gave Hermengildo Fertus a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lion FC booed when Anguinán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Fertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Etxatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Barrionuevo having to interfere. In the 42ndth minute of the game Hermengildo Fertus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion FC's Diego Belmiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pascual Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Melquiades Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascual Etxatxu was the one to do the kick off. Diego Belmiro came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Anguinán's Hermengildo Fertus. But to his dismay, Hermengildo Fertus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 56th minute, Pascual Etxatxu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Melquiades Barrionuevo, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Anguinán's Melquiades Barrionuevo got control of the ball when Bonifacio Maurino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pascual Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Melquiades Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pascual Etxatxu charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pascual Etxatxu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Belmiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Chap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lion FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Anier Jerico hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pascual Etxatxu in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Barrionuevo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Lion FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Anier Jerico hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Fertus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Belmiro. Lion FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermengildo Fertus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Pascual Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Melquiades Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Soter's late challenge caught a Lion FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Soter helped the player get up and apologised. Rigoberto Menendo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Pascual Etxatxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bonifacio Maurino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Melquiades Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Anguinán support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
