In the 26th minute Alonzo Azibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Frederico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Saladillo's zone, Paulino Koldobika stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Precioso came out of the goal and Paulino Koldobika tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alonzo Azibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillon FC's Paulino Koldobika got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Saladillo booed when Guillon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Giraldo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Koldobika to strike the kick off in the second half.
