The coaching staff of Saladillo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ladislao Gutierrez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 39th minute, one of Saladillo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saladillo. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Nesto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiburcio Precioso was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

Tiburcio Precioso came out of the goal and Guillermo Eleazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laureano Eguzki charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laureano Eguzki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Saladillo got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Eguzki. After recieving a nice pass, LOS PIBES FC's Ildefonso Gipuzkoa tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Guillermo Eleazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tiburcio Precioso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
