Fernando Lonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Panfilo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Perchel FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Romeo Ubendu hit a great ball. Independiente's Vladimiro Havier got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Gonchan hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Independiente's Froilan Guillelme broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 20th match minute, Perchel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Ubendu to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Frasco was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Vladimiro Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Frasco having to interfere. After 29 played minutes, Independiente's Epifanio Erasto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mateo Frasco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independiente reached it. Bonifacio Panfilo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Lonzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Vladimiro Havier was extremely unlucky when he, in the 33rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Bernardo Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Braulio Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Lonzo having to interfere. Romeo Ubendu charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Ubendu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Independiente booed when Perchel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Ubendu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Panfilo came free, but Fernando Lonzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimiro Havier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Mateo Frasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bonifacio Panfilo to make the kick off. Mateo Frasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Sancho went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Braulio Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fernando Lonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vladimiro Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Frasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Tipi during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Tipi. Independiente's Fernando Lonzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. If Romeo Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bonifacio Panfilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 87 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Panfilo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernando Lonzo. Bonifacio Panfilo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 95 minutes into the match, Perchel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Sancho came free, but Mateo Frasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
